BEAR 48V 50Ah
This is one Bear you might like to get to know. Why? At 50Ah, this battery is in the “Just-Right” category: not too big ($), not too small (range) and tough as heck! Built with high-efficiency, high-current LiFePO4 cells, you need only one to manage 2+ Rounds of golf, steep hills and heavy loads. Finally, with the added feature of heating-elements, this Bear doesn’t have to hibernate in the Winter.
The Bear comes with a dash-mount Voltage/Current/State-of-Charge meter, and will drop into the space required for ONE of your old Lead-Acid batteries.

Note that in the unlikely event you are experiencing an issue with your battery related to a manufacturing defect, you will be covered by the Bear Volts warranty for up to 6 years.
Bear Volts offers a 6-year (“the warranty period”) manufacturers defect warranty on all Bear Volts branded batteries (“the battery”) beginning from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover issues arising from improper use, negligence and normal wear and tear of the battery.
A Bear Volts battery will last anywhere from 2000 to 6000+ cycles depending on use. A battery may therefore last longer or shorter than the warranty period. A battery is considered to be end of life when its capacity is at 70% of its rated capacity. A battery that reaches its end of life prior to the end of the warranty period and before reaching 2000 cycles, will be repaired or replaced subject to any exclusions listed within this warranty information.
When a warranty claim is made within the warranty period, Bear Volts reserves the right to either repair or replace the battery, or deny the claim if any of the exclusions listed within this warranty information apply. If no exclusions apply and a repair is not possible, within the first three years of the warranty period, Bear Volts will replace the battery with a Bear Volts battery of commensurate specification. If a repair is not feasible in the last three years of the warranty period, Bear Volts will provide a pro-rated discount off of the retail price of a Bear Volts battery of commensurate specification. The discount in year four of the warranty period will be 75% off of the retail price. The discount in year five will be 50% off of the retail price. The discount in year six will be 25% off of the retail price. If a battery of commensurate specification is not available, Bear Volts may choose to fully or partially refund the original purchase price.
In no event shall Bear Volts be liable for any loss or damages of any other kind, whether direct, incidental, consequential including lost profits, exemplary, special or otherwise, including any lost profits or removal, shipping, or installation expenses.
Here is some simple care info to help you maximize performance, protect your Lithium battery and
maintain safety.
Lithium battery technology is among the safest available but can still be dangerous if
not handled or utilized properly, as with all batteries. Lithium cells have some very specific
characteristics and must be treated differently from Lead based and other batteries. Once installed in a
proper system, they are very simple to maintain and utilize.
- Charging should be performed using a CC – CV (Constant Current – Constant Voltage) system.
- NEVER charge at or below freezing temperatures (0°C, 32°F). Note the battery will protect itself if you try, but you still shouldn’t do it
- Optimal charge and discharge rates for longevity range from 8 – 18 Amps.
- Store out of direct sunlight, in a cool, dry place to help avoid cell deterioration.
- Charge at least once every six months, when in storage, to combat self discharge. Lithium cells generally do not like to rest in a fully charged or full discharged state for any period, this will accelerate capacity and performance loss.
- Standard operating range for usable Amp hour (Ah) capacity is 20% – 100%. Depth of Discharge (DoD) 80%.
- Batteries are shipped in a partial state of charge. Charge before using.
- If a pack becomes completely discharged for any period, charge to full immediately.
- Not Water Proof, Do Not Get Wet Or Submerge In Water
- Do Not Mix With Other Battery Technologies
